Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are many other popular Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.

A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling den in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa paddle wheel boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is available all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday chemin de fer events.

Iowa casinos offer a great deal of tax income to the government of Iowa, which has enabled the budgeting of a lot of state wide projects. Tourism has gotten bigger at a fast rate along with the demand for companies and a gain in jobs. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the expansion of the market, and the enthusiasm for wagering in Iowa is widespread.
